 A timeline of current events going on at the Boca Chica Site. With minor and major events as best that we can record and report to the community of Space watching people.  Feel free to help add the short Lines and date as accurately as possible.  If you need help or want something added please feel free to ask.

  • The first ring section (Mid LOX) for SN15 was moved into the Mid Bay. The status of SN12-SN14 is unclear.
  • New Year's Eve fireworks seen on Sentinel cam over the build site.
30-Dec-2020
  • A Nosecone section was shuffled around the tents. Possibly for SN11.
  • Elon tweet: SpaceX will try to catch the Super Heavy Booster with launch tower arm.
  • Elon tweet: SN9 will press CH4 header tank with helium. Long term solution under debate.
29-Dec-2020
  • SN9's Cryo test. Cold-gas RCS and engine pre-chill lines were also tested.
  • Bluto's jib was moved from Sanchez to the BFC shed.
  • SNx Thrust dome was sleeved with two rings of what appears to be 3mm 304L. Likely to become a test tank.
  • SN11's tank section was fully stacked in the Mid Bay
  • SN10's nosecone was moved into the High Bay.

  • SN9 Ambient pressure test.
  • A new design of thrust dome was spotted in one of the tents.
27-Dec-2020
  • A top dome was sleeved with a single ring of what appears to be 3mm 304L.
  • SN11's aft section was moved into the Mid bay for stacking.

  • The second flamp was added to SN10's nosecone.
  • A Transport stand was moved into the Mid bay, for SN11.
  • A damaged 4-ring section was scrapped.

  • Baarney lifting large beam sections into the top of High Bay. No specific overhead crane parts spotted as yet.

  • A new reinforced blast-proof building is delivered to the launch site.

  • Shucker pucker installed on launchpad.

  • 18.57 Liftoff!!!!!. SN5 completes its first hop, and landed safely a small distance away.

  • Work on GSE is progressing well.
  • 2 header tanks spotted of which atleast 1 is for SN4.

  • Go Discovery arrived at Brownsville harbor.
  • 5 stack appears to be inside Onion.
  • Continued work on new building.

  • Cam 1 and 2 are taking done in preparation of the move to the new location. The new location is planned to be ready on 27/28th of March.
  • A 2 stack was mated upon a single ring, making a new 3 stack in Onion, perhaps start of SN4.
  • 3 stack holding trustdome was stacked upon final 2 rings for finishing skirt, only 1 stack left for full tanksection of SN3.

  • 09:59pm Cryotesting of the tanksektion on SN1 created a RUD, that settles the discussion on which SN the new nosecone was for.
  • 10:00am The new Tent on the double stack of containers are getting its first truss setup.
  • Plating of the new High Bay 1 / VAB, is starting up again.

  • Nomadd ring counting: 1 triple (probably with bulkhead), 3 doubles and 8 singles.
  • The now welded Nosecone section was lifted off its stand and to another stand left of the Onion Door, and then 30 minutes later moved back to the original stand.
  • 02:16pm Nosecone lifted and stacked upon the other Tapered Ring, sitting on the stand. Completing most of the Nosecone.
  • 07:52am Nosecone moving towards stand to be stacked upon lower tapered section

  • 11:26am The Tank stack was lifted from the rollerlift and unto the test stand at the launch pad.
  • 07.05am It looks like a reflection is moving leftwards on the farleft (cam2)
  • 06.36am It looks like SN1 is moving leftwards (cam2)

  • The Nosecone sitting in the Garlic Tent has gotten 1 or 2 of the tapered rings more installed.
  • 03:25am another attempt at installing the Downcomer in the 14-stack.

  • 11:28am The Downcomer was removed again.
  • 09:40am the Fuel line tube (Downcomer) between from the CH4 tank through the LOX tank down to the Raptors is being installed in the 14-stack.
  • Another Container wall is being erected to the right of the Garlic Tent, speculation about a third Sprung structure!
  • 05:10am Another ring moved from the middle of the Ring tent and to the Front of the Tent.
  • 04:45am The Berry crane is no longer holding the 14-stack!, and is being rotated to lift other things.

  • 11:43pm The outer most ring moved from the Ring tent, to the back of the Garlic and Onion Tents.

  • 11:56 The 9-stack lifted and placed upon the 5-ring Thrust stack!!! SN1 is really taking shape!
  • 04:28am The thrust stack is lifted by Berry and place to the left of the Onion Tent.
  • 02:46am The 5-ring thrust stack is moved out of the Onion Tent next to the 9-stack. So Stacking is happening today.

  • The Heavy Duty Berry Crane is moved into position and has been left fully extended, speculation about a dawn Stacking of the 9 stack onto the thrust stack.

  • 11:37pm Another ring was brough in from the right and placed inside the Onion Tent
  • 06:54pm the 4-stack is lifted unto the M-stand beside the 5-stack.
  • Alot of action, the 4-stack is now in the door of Onion Tent. A flatbed is backing up to the stand...
  • 04:39pm the M-stand was moved behind Nosey.
  • 04:29pm a glimpse through the Onion Tent we can see a new 5-stack behind, this is most likely the bottom thrust stack.
  • A new higher M-stand was moved into the front of the Onion Tent.
  • 01:15pm The 4-stack was moved off to the left inside the Onion Tent.

  • The VAB has reached its height, as they're now laying roof parts on the top.
  • Multiple rings moved out of the Ring Tent 1 left out of the picture to the left, 1 behind nosey and the new 5-stack

  • Iron Henge II is progressing too, now have most of the covers added. Its not know how high this structure will be.

  • 09:49:50 Sir Egglon II cryo tested to the max and according to Elon reached 8.5 bar before bursting.

  • around 8:00pm testing started on the Nosecone and joined tank. Test seems success alot of venting on the top can be seen.[6]

  • 10:52pm Black Rectangles are being welded unto Sir Egglon, seems to be used to multiple places to distribute the load when sitting on a stand.
  • 05:20 pm Sir Egglon standing on its own, as the crane no longer supports the upper half.
  • Road closure moved to the 9th indicating that in indeed will be used to move Sir Egglon to the launch pad.
  • 12:21pm Sir Egglon reassembled again.
  • 10:21am Sir Egglon disassembled again.

  • 05:27pm Ring #14 started to be created on the IMCAR machine
  • 04:57pm Ring #13 moved off IMCAR and to the middle of the tent.
  • 04:49pm Top Bulkhead lifted and placed upon the flipped bulkhead, making Sir Egglon with 2 bulkheads and 2 rings.
  • More vertical riggings installed on the backside and frontside of Onion Tent
  • 02:42am Concrete is being poured for the floor of the Onion Tent #2
  • 02:00am A bulkhead next to the flipped one was moved to a stand
  • 01:55am Ring #12 also moved to the left of the Ring tent
  • 01:00am Ring #11 moved to the left of the Ring tent
  • Cover being placed on New tent this morning
  • Seems to have at least 1 internal stiffening ring just in the middle of the ring attached to the bulkhead.
  • Also being used as scaffolding to walk around the rings.
  • Possible this will have 1 at each ring or so to help stiff and build the starship this is a Speculation.
