For upcoming heavy duty work, spacex bought its own crane to not have to relie on supliers and not have to deal with limited contracts. The new crane is a Liebherr LR11000 crawler crane. With the parts seen yet, it is most likely that this crane will work in the SL8F2 conriguration. The assambely of the new crane as well as de delive y at Starbase began on October 29. 2021.
